Our Energy and Sustainability team is seeking an experienced and versatile Engineering Manager, CES. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the team while also being an individual contributor in hardware engineering, programming, and graphics.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for the group.
  • Lead the development and implementation of complex automation solutions, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Design and develop custom hardware solutions for building automation systems, including sensors, controllers, and interfaces.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate hardware components based on project requirements.
  • Perform hardware testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.
  • Develop and maintain BAS software applications using various programming languages.
  • Implement communication protocols and interfaces for seamless integration.
  • Design and develop user interfaces (UIs) and graphics for building automation systems.
  • Implement graphics and optimize performance for real-time visualization and monitoring.


Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience across engineering and programming.
  • Professional certifications in building automation systems, Tridium Niagara preferred.
  • A passion for energy-efficiency and sustainability in providing solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in hardware design and interfacing with various sensors and controllers.
  • Experience with graphics rendering techniques, UI/UX design, and visualization tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and foster a positive work culture.
