Job Description:

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. You will coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver successful project outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of mechanical projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to review project specifications, ensuring constructability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee procurement processes for materials and equipment, negotiating with vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan and safety regulations are followed.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any changes or challenges.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project activities, including progress reports, budget tracking, change orders, and RFI logs.
  • Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry best practices.
  • Resolve technical and logistical issues, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in mechanical contracting, with specific experience in HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal projects.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
