Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Engineer at TSM Corporation. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for owning the Quality and the capability of the manufacturing processes that they are assigned.


Qualifications

  • Prefer Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Prefer Certified Quality Engineer Certificate
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies, such as Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing 5 Why or 8D methodology to establish root cause, systemic impact, PCA and effectiveness.
  • Strong communication skills oral and written. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively alone/with a Team and prioritize. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret GDT/Blueprint drawings.
  • Engineering specifications and understand
  • Knowledge of submission into IMDS
  • Experience in DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process documentation.
  • Awareness and understand of ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements
  • Experience working directly with suppliers


Basic Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction to quality personnel as required
  • Put together full PPAP packages and submit to the customer
  • Maintain Corrective Actions in customer portals
  • Ensure compliance to Customer Specific Requirements. 
  • Update/Modify Control Plans as required
  • Update/Modify PFMEAs
  • Update/Modify Inspection Instructions
  • Performs numerous other duties as required pertaining to quality
  • Written and verbal communication with the Customers, as required
  • When applicable participate in continues improvements process
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Follow Company policies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Experience working as a QE, or SQE in a manufacturing environment utilizing an IATF quality system
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and review supplier PPAP packages
  • Be able to Participate/conduct IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and layered process audits.
  • Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.
  • Make decisions with regard to disposition of non-conforming material and that proper containment and follow up is conducted.
