Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Information Systems Programmer/Software Developer at Braun Ambulances. Reporting to the Head of Information Systems and a full member of the IT Shared Services team, the Programmer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications within our manufacturing environment. This position involves working closely with IT Business Analyst, IT personnel, and end-users to meet the organization's system needs. The primary focus is on enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes, and ensuring seamless integration with our business systems. While the primary location is in Van Wert, OH, some remote work is acceptable.


Key responsibilities :

Software Development: 

  • Develop and maintain computer programs, applications, and databases. 
  • Create and distribute applications and software patches following management guidelines. 
  • Migrate applications (both in-house and client-based) as needed to ensure smooth transitions. 
  •  Implement security protocols related to software. 

ERP System Enhancements: 

  • Enhance existing business systems to align with user-specific needs and industry standards. 
  • Work closely with business analyst and end-users to understand system requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain system-to-system integration. 
  • Perform system tests and assist in user acceptance testing. 

Troubleshooting and Support: 

  • Respond promptly to support tickets from customers and internal departments. 
  • Troubleshoot software issues and provide timely resolutions. 
  • Draft instructional documents to guide employees in navigating company intranets. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Make recommendations for enhancing user value and system efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and optimize software solutions. 


Qualifications:

  • Systems Programming and Programming skills
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting expertise
  • Experience with Operating Systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Proficiency in MS SQL databases programming & querying languages
  • Experience with ERP/Manufacturing system
