Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Loan Officer at Rate. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for assisting borrowers in securing mortgage loans. This includes reviewing loan applications, analyzing financial documents, determining loan eligibility, and providing guidance to borrowers throughout the loan process. You will collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient loan origination.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the mortgage industry as a Loan Officer (2+ years Required)
  • Loan Officer skills: Experience in mortgage lending and an understanding of loan programs and guidelines
  • Finance skills: Knowledge of financial concepts, including credit analysis and risk assessment
  • Underwriting skills: Ability to evaluate loan applications, assess borrower qualifications, and make informed lending decisions
  • Customer Service skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively assist and guide borrowers
  • Loan Origination skills: Proficiency in initiating and processing loan applications
  • Attention to detail: Ability to accurately review and analyze financial documents
  • Organizational skills: Excellent time management and prioritization abilities to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address client needs and concerns
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • NMLS license (Required)
