We've partnered with a Global Wellness Organization to bring on a Brand Protection (Corporate Affairs) Attorney The ideal candidate is a people's person with extreme collaboration skills. They have a strong background in Intellectual Property, specifically with trademarks and patents. Additionally, they have a keen understanding of Corporate documents and communications.


The Brand Protection Attorney will be responsible for

  • Identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting essential documents, and providing clear recommendations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Offering counsel on various issues to stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Drafting legal documents including contracts, statements, and agreements.
  • Implementing procedures to safeguard patents, trademarks, and intellectual property.
  • Summarizing and analyzing new legislation and legal matters affecting the company.
  • Supporting government relations by engaging with elected officials, regulators, and decision-makers.
  • Cultivating relationships with trade organizations to advance industry objectives.
  • Assisting in the creation of communication materials such as talking points and press releases.
  • Monitoring legislative developments and providing timely updates to executives.


Requirements

  • JD from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate/business and advertising law
  • Privacy law experience is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of FTC and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to anticipate and overcome obstacles
