Junior Commercial Lines Account Manager


Job Overview:


As a Jr. Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will assume an even higher level of responsibility within the customer service team, demonstrating expertise in commercial insurance and providing comprehensive support to customers with complex needs. In this position, you will assist the Account Managers with changes, audits, more complex certificates, billing issues, premium finance agreements, renewal certificate setup, and maintaining activities all while providing superior customer service. Other job duties may include claims and loss runs.


Responsibilities:


  • Process changes, renewals, and maintaining updated and accurate records
  • Track the return of renewal questionnaires and coordinate the accurate and timely entry of data
  • Attend to clients’ needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verifies their accuracy using an established agency checklist
  • Handle License & Permit Bonds
  • Process cancellations and reinstatements
  • Check on customer billing issues
  • Policy Checking
  • Timely issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed


Qualifications:


  • Active Illinois Property & Casualty License required
  • 3+ years of commercial insurance customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
  • Experience with Applied Epic preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and usages
  • Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned client and prospect lists
  • Thorough, and detail-oriented to manage multiple clients, tasks, and requests
  • Ability to understand written and oral communication and interpret abstract information
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Must be able to move quickly and accurately from one task to another


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule)
