The Data Science team leverages data-driven insights to drive innovation and strategic decisions. About The Role


This position will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing predictive models to forecast trends, behaviors, and outcomes. In addition to models, this position will be responsible for designing tests, querying data, conducting ad hoc analyses and optimization to support all areas of the business with a heavy focus on risk management and profitability. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design robust models, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.


This person will report to the Senior Director of Data Science.


In This Role, You Will


  • Design, develop, and implement predictive models and algorithms to support business objectives
  • Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to analyze large, diverse data sets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights
  • Query data and perform regular statistical analyses to optimize risk management strategies
  • Design, implement, and read the results of experiments
  • Monitor existing models and strategies to ensure performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner


Qualifications


  • A degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, etc. (Bachelor’s required, graduate preferred)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with statistical model estimation methodologies, programming (Python preferred), experimental design, and optimization
  • Strong understanding of databases and SQL, with experience working with large-scale databases
