Key Responsibilities


  • Architect and Innovate: Design, deploy, and scale cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Azure, and modern configuration management tools like Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible
  • Automate and Elevate: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the creation and deployment of immutable artifacts, ensuring zero downtime during releases
  • Monitor and Evolve: Implement and continuously improve monitoring solutions (e.g., ELK Stack) to track system health and performance
  • Collaborate and Guide: Work hand-in-hand with development teams to understand application needs and provide guidance on deployment strategies and best practices
  • Secure and Safeguard: Enforce and manage security practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments
  • Document and Communicate: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve: Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting infrastructure, deployments, and applications in a timely manner while taking steps to prevent such issues in the future


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience


  • 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
  • Cloud native technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • CLI in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Coding and scripting (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild)
  • Git version control


  • 1+ years of experience in the following areas
  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, Ansible)
  • Containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Agile development practices
  • Establishing and/or supporting a centralized logging and monitoring platform (e.g. Elastic Stack, DataDog)


  • Basic understanding of:
  • Networking concepts including IP addressing, subnets, and network isolation
  • Protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS


  • Object-oriented programming concepts
  • Ability to implement and enforce the principle of least privilege as part of the setup of related resources
  • A constant desire for improving your own knowledge, skills, and performance
  • A passion for teamwork
