The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the Production Department, reporting directly to the Vice President of Production for the Americas. This role is responsible for achieving defined goals and objectives.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a growing team of 8 technicians and team leads across two shifts to ensure all company objectives are met. Develop strategies to expand the team to support new initiatives.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of various systems and equipment, including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), conveyors, stacker cranes, bin stackers/destackers, elevators, assembly work cells, label printers, presses, hand and power tools, cable pinning machines, and actuator final test machines.
  • Implement and manage an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to streamline work orders, spare parts management, and equipment preventative maintenance scheduling.
  • Enhance the work environment by prioritizing safety and performance.
  • Repair and maintain production machinery and tools in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
  • Collaborate with production staff to design and develop simple manufacturing devices that improve safety, ergonomics, and processes.
  • Assist in the design, breakdown, and setup of assembly cells and associated equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for fabrication, repairs, and maintenance tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role with responsibilities for budgeting and performance reviews.
  • Experience with automated conveyance systems is essential.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and preferably SAP and CAD.
  • Lean manufacturing certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team talent.
