What You’ll Do


  • Maintain a total facilities systems management program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems that are operational in a facility.
  • Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Maintain an energy management program. Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
  • Operate BAS/BMS Systems
  • Coordinate scope development, work request initiation, scheduling, and inspection of work performed by outside contractors, which includes proprietary work, licensed installations, upgrades, and maintenance and inspection of specialized systems.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning assistance as needed.
  • Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Finish the required and assigned training at a satisfactory level.
  • Participate in all related programs & activities as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment
  • Review inspections to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish work you're leading and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job subject area and some knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.


What You’ll Need


  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Licenses or certifications as may be required by local applicable law or ordinance. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
  • BAS/BMS Experience
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgement and precedents.
  • Willingness to take a new point of view on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive attitude.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
