Position Summary:

Develop Software and Electrical processes and test equipment/fixtures, that they then test and implement in conjunction with Manufacturing (including Contract Manufacturers). This position will require a lot of ownership and cross-functional collaboration with Electrical Engineering, sourcing, and Manufacturing/QA.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for all Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Test development, which includes the support of electrical /software test, design manufacturing producibility, work instruction development and manufacturing floor/system integration support.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, software, process & systems.
  • Provide guidance of test plan for new products
  • Improve test plan & test script to improve efficiency.
  • Globally support test escalated issues.
  • Leadership, provide technical direction to testing engineering and manufacturing support team.
  • Routinely meet with systems test and engineering Executive Leadership, to build strong relationships, and advise and discuss program strategies and execution plans.
  • Implement process changes on existing equipment and assist with the development and installation of production expansion equipment in the assembly.
  • Ability to multitask, manage projects and build cohesive teams in order to meet targets and objectives.
  • Support and improve ongoing production test sequences for engineering deviations, quick iteration in the design cycle
  • Project management for the validation and test phases of supported projects, including reporting to leadership;
  • Provide training and support to engineering technicians to expand testing capacity;
  • Grow and develop a small team of Test Engineers and Technicians with the Manager of Software QA and Manager of Software Development;
  • Identifies opportunities in the test group to improve test capabilities and procedures to achieve increased efficiency;
  • Responsible for providing test input to technical and cost volumes for engineering proposals;
  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data;
  • Establishes long and short-term objectives as they relate to individual employee achievements;
  • Leads the engineering test group and ensures that all test developments follow a disciplined engineering process;
  • Leads and controls the test of new and recurring products.

Qualifications:


Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Monday-Friday 8a-5p, primarily on-site.
  • BS Electrical Engineering or BS in Computer Science from accredited college or university or a AEE in Electrical Engineering or AS in Computer Science with relevant experience.
  • 4+ years Engineering or Manufacturing Tech Experience
  • MES or ERP experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a lead role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Up to 25% Travel Required initially
