Phoenix, United States Arizona Coalition for Change | Our Voice Our Vote Arizona Full time

Statewide Field Director

About the Role

In 2024, the time for organizing our communities is more important than it has ever been. Our family of organizations Our Voice Our Vote Arizona 501(c)(4), and Our Voice Our Vote Arizona PAC is seeking a Statewide Field Director to lead our community-driven campaigns. The Statewide Field Director will run electoral-driven campaigns to achieve wins on behalf of our communities. These campaigns include ballot initiatives, independent expenditures, bonds and override elections, and signature collection. The Statewide Field Director will be a part of our Electoral Engagement Team (EET). This role is perfect for an individual who is driven to create change, organized, community-motivated and can motivate others, eager to be on the frontlines fighting for BIPOC communities, goal-oriented, can work under pressure, and is a strong team player.

About the Organization

We envision an Arizona where Black communities have the social, economic and political power to change systems, policies, and structures that affect the lives of black people and their allies. In Arizona, we foresee Black people building power serving as, and influencing, decision makers in elected office and policy positions. We imagine an Arizona where BIPOC, women and underserved people no longer have to live day by day and have all the resources they need to thrive. We strive to get to a place where your skin color doesn’t determine your likelihood of success or survival in this state. Our Voice Our Vote Arizona is a member-led organization committed to advocating for lasting progressive public policies. We build power by mobilizing voters, training the next generation of leaders, electing champions into office, and holding elected officials accountable. By putting people first, we are working to develop and lift up voices in the community to take on our nation's most pressing issues. Our Voice Our Vote Arizona PAC is a state and federal political action committee committed to electing values-aligned, pro-Black community advancement candidates to local, state, and federal office.

Organizational Beliefs

Our Voice Our Vote Arizona is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We deeply value the expertise of lived experience and strongly value and seek to invest in applicants that have shared lived experience with the constituents we currently and hope to work with, including folks of color, those who are immigrants, or children of immigrants to the US, those whose first language is not English, trans and queer individuals, and others from communities who have been impacted by systemic inequities. Our team members must be passionate about developing relationships and building grassroots power for Black and other people of color communities in the state. We have undertaken a new strategic direction, doubling down on transformative organizing by establishing a culture where leaders are liberated through collective movement building, leadership development, and risk-taking.
