Position Summary:

The Sales Rep Trainee will undergo a 4 to 6-month development program designed to cultivate the skills, knowledge, and expertise required to excel as an Outside Sales Representative. Throughout this period, you will receive hands-on training, engage in shadowing experiences, and receive guidance from seasoned mentors to build a strong foundation in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.


Position’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Immerse yourself in the diverse range of Uwajimaya products and gain a deep understanding of their origins, qualities, and significance to our customers.
  • Participate in tailored sales training sessions to learn effective sales strategies, negotiation techniques, and customer-centric approaches.
  • Accompany skilled sales representatives on customer visits, in-store demonstrations, and sales meetings to observe and learn from their interactions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential clients, conduct market research, and contribute to lead generation efforts.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, understanding their preferences, and addressing their inquiries.
  • Develop skills in delivering compelling and informative sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Learn to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward sales targets.
  • Understand the assigned sales territory, including key customer demographics, competitor analysis, and opportunities for growth.
  • Receive regular feedback and coaching from assigned mentors to track progress and address areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and sales best practices through workshops, seminars, and online resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Salary Range: $25.00/hr. to $28.00/hr.

Starting at $25.00/hr., Depending on Experience.


Position Requirements:

  • Ability to speak Korean preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Asian products preferred. Asian language proficiency is a plus.
  • Restaurant management, Marketing and Sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to build relationships with team and customer with honesty & integrity.
  • Requires a valid WA DL & clean driver record.
