Job Title: IT Senior Project Manager

Location: Nashville, TN 37214

Duration: 6 months

Pay rate: $50-$54.50 Hr


Job Description:

Required Work Experience: Three years of IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams. Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.

Location: 100% onsite in Nashville with zero flexibility. Candidates relocating must already have a firm date for being in the Nashville area. Candidates who are relocating pending a job offer should not apply.


Project Manager I Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • 75% Waterfall and 25% Agile.
  • Align with PMO Framework.
  • Manage 2-3 projects simultaneously.
  • Develop schedules in MS Project.
  • Track developer progress.
  • Monitor schedule and cost variance.
  • Active PMP certification is preferred. Candidates working towards PMP can be considered.
  • Healthcare/Medicare experience is required. Do not submit candidates without Healthcare or Medicare/Medicaid experience. Direct experience in Healthcare or Medicare/Medicaid regarding Project Management is necessary.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong job duration is needed. Highlight specific projects related to SDLC and any schedule/cost/earned value management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to understand technical components and integration.
  • No candidates with a wireless background (e.g., AT&T, Verizon) as this experience does not translate to the role.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
  • Manage a lesser number of work efforts simultaneously, consisting of smaller size, low complexity, and minimal system and customer impacts.
  • Adhere to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet ISSM expectations.
  • Monitor project plans, assignments, and work efforts daily.
  • Ensure resources are assigned appropriately and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues.
  • Track key project milestones and adjust project plans as needed.
  • Lead the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.


Position Details:

  • Non-work-from-home position with flexible hours between 7:30-8:30 AM based on business needs.
  • May require over 40 hours per week for some projects.
