Basic Function: Perform systems engineering tasks on fast-paced programs with minimal supervision. Lead technical performance modeling, simulation, and controls engineering. Manage project systems engineering processes and procedures. Act as a technical lead on projects, testing campaigns, and design reviews. Collaborate effectively within a team to complete tasks and support team assignments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Model Based Engineering for multiple projects.
  2. Model and simulate propulsion systems.
  3. Calculate solid rocket motor system sizing and performance.
  4. Design, analyze, and document control systems.
  5. Develop and test control system design algorithms and software.
  6. Document project requirements and verification methods.
  7. Support risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of systems engineering experience.
  • 7 years of solid rocket motor design and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Master's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).

Skills:

  • Proficient in Matlab, Simulink, LabVIEW, and SolidWorks.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to take on increasing responsibilities
