NextGen Federal Systems, LLC (NextGen) is seeking a Contracts and Program Management Specialist to support the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Program Office. The ideal candidate is familiar with the acquisition process for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role includes providing daily program management office support to the MPA Program Office at DHS.


Location: Washington DC (Hybrid Work Schedule: Telework up to 3 days per week)


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the MPA Program Management Office with pre- and post-award contracts-related tasks.
  • Perform contract planning, soliciting, evaluating for state-of-the-art or technically complex supplies and services.
  • Support contract negotiations with high-level industry and Government officials.
  • Provide support during contract planning, administration, change, and/or termination.
  • Track and analyze contract deliverables.
  • Track and analyze contract cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Assist in pre-award and post-award procurement actions.
  • Assist in the design and accomplishment of a plan for procurement of multi-year requirements, negotiated procurements, large dollar-value procurements or procurements under formal source selection procedures.
  • Assist with administration of complex contracts which require day-to-day negotiations of significant contract changes, monitoring numerous special requirements, coordinating extensive subcontracting involvement and observing rigid time frames.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A DAWIA certification in contracting, FAC-C Professional/Level III Certification, or equivalent or at least four (4) years of experience in the field of contracts management.
  • At least (3) years providing direct program management office support.
  • Mastery of contracting methods and relevant contract types.
  • Contract administration and termination skills.
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite of applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Top-Secret clearance or current DHS BI highly desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability determination after a CBP Background Investigation (BI).
  • Some local and regional travel may be required.
