Opportunity

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing and directing all financial aspects of the practice. This role includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing financial risks, and ensuring the practice’s financial health and sustainability. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, senior management team, and other key stakeholders to support the practice’s overall goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and execute the practice’s financial strategy and goals.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, including profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and healthcare industry standards.
  • Manage external audits and regulatory compliance activities.

Cash Flow and Investment Management:

  • Manage the practice’s cash flow, investments, and financial resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing working capital and investment opportunities.
  • Evaluate and recommend financing options and capital investments.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
  • Oversee financial systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities within the practice.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, including revenue cycle management, accountants and billing.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
  • Support staff development through training and professional growth opportunities.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including investors, banks, and vendors, to build and maintain strong relationships.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA and CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting with 3+ years proven experience as a CFO or in a similar senior financial management role, preferably within a healthcare or private practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as healthcare industry regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Ability to think strategically and act decisively in a dynamic environment.
