Summary:


This position plays a pivotal role in supporting our clients' information security, privacy, risk, and compliance programs under the guidance of the VP of Information Security. Critical responsibilities include policy review and updates, system design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, collaboration with service providers, tool management, and process facilitation.


Responsibilities:


- Design, evaluate, and implement IT security, privacy, risk, and compliance systems, processes, and activities, demonstrating leadership capabilities.

- Monitor computer networks, tools, and service providers for security, privacy, risk, and compliance issues.

- Investigate and document security breaches and cybersecurity incidents, assessing their impact.

- Conduct security tests, risk assessments, and audits to identify network, application, and process vulnerabilities, providing guidance and training to prevent future violations.

- Track vulnerabilities and facilitate mitigation efforts to uphold high security standards.

- Develop best practices for IT security, privacy, and compliance initiatives.

- Support and perform third-party vulnerability management and penetration testing.

- Research security enhancements and present recommendations to management.

- Stay current on information technology trends and evolving security standards.

- Prepare detailed reports on security, privacy, and compliance risk assessments.

- Support Security Operations Center functions, including incident monitoring and incident response support.

- Ensure adherence to all IT Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance policies and provide guidance to the organization.

- Fulfill other duties related to Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance as required.


Qualifications:


- 6+ years’ experience in the role of Information Security Analyst or within a Security Operations Center (SOC)

- Proficiency in computer network and application vulnerability management and penetration testing techniques. (Nessus, Rapid 7, Tenable, etc.)

- Ability to identify and mitigate network and application vulnerabilities effectively.

- Knowledgeable in patch management and proficient with various operating systems.

- Leadership capabilities in driving Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance processes and programs.

- Experience in leading incident response processes.

- Ability to direct third-party providers in Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance areas.

- Analytical skills in assessing information security controls and ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

- Familiarity with primary Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).

- Experience administering information security software and controls.

- Experience in defining processes for managing network and application security.

- Knowledge of network and system administration practices is advantageous.

- Understanding of Standard Information Security Baseline Frameworks, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery protocols.

- Exposure to ITIL (Incident/Change Management) practices; ITIL v3F preferred.

- Ability to learn and monitor business processes relevant to primary support responsibilities.

- Experience conducting or supporting Security Baseline Audits and implementing audit recommendations.



Education/Experience:


- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

- IAT Level-2 technical certification strongly preferred (CompTIA Security+ or CISSP), or ability to obtain within first 90 days of hire.

- Demonstrated experience in responding to, managing, and resolving security incidents.

- Experience with Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems and Information Security concepts.

- Experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems is beneficial.
