Job Description: As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping, receiving, production and logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires strong emotional intelligence, flexibility, knowledge of shipping processes, results orientation, basic technology literacy, excellent communication skills, empathy, a sense of urgency, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing legendary service.


Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee entire warehouse process, including order fulfillment, packaging, labeling, and scheduling of small parcel shipments.
  2. Hold daily production meetings with all staff.
  3. Gemba board understanding and utilization.
  4. Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs while meeting customer expectations.
  5. Monitor and analyze KPI’s and take corrective actions as needed.
  6. Utilize technology tools and systems to track shipments, generate reports, and streamline shipping processes.
  7. Train, mentor, and staff to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to procedures.
  8. Foster a culture of exceptional customer service by resolving shipping-related issues and implementing improvement initiatives.
  9. Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy while working with diverse teams and resolving conflicts or challenges that may arise.
  10. Maintain a sense of urgency and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines and respond promptly to customer needs.
  11. Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve shipping issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  12. Continuously strive for excellence in shipping operations, seeking opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.


Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Minimum of 50 hours per week.
  3. Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to work well under pressure.
  4. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
  5. Solid knowledge of warehouse processes, regulations, and documentation requirements.
  6. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  7. Basic technology literacy, including proficiency in WMS and MS Office applications.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, customers, and vendors effectively.
  9. Empathy and the ability to understand and address customer concerns or inquiries.
  10. A sense of urgency and the ability to work with tight deadlines.
  11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  12. Dedication to providing legendary service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
