Job Overview:

As a Sales Development Representative at Protiv, you will be a driving force in advancing the growth of our early-stage company. We seek an individual with a relentless passion and energy for sales, recognizing that our mission extends beyond just providing software. 


As a Sales Development Representative, the daily focus and goals are around appointment setting, with owners of construction and landscaping companies. This entails a lot of outbound calls, but also texting, emails and attending events. We have considerable inbound warm customer interest, but about 1/2 of the time will be cold outreach to targeted strategic customers.


The position will be full time in our office in Jersey City, NJ. You will be working alongside our founding team and will be among the first 10 employees. 


Key Responsibilities:


·  Passionate Sales Outreach

o Initiate and execute outbound sales calls and emails with enthusiasm and passion, generating leads and qualifying prospects in the construction, landscaping and cleaning industries.

o Convey the unique value proposition of Protiv's B2B SaaS product with conviction and genuine belief in its transformative impact.

o Achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals for calls, customer contacts, appointments and similar metrics.

o Fully leverage CRM and other sales tools, including accurate data inputs and detailed notes on customer contacts.


·  Relationship Building with Enthusiasm

o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, demonstrating a keen understanding of their pain points and challenges.

o Collaborate with the sales team and other Protiv teams with an infectious energy, contributing to creative strategies, developing new ideas, implementing effective sales tactics and being an active participant in our growth as a company.


·  Trade Show Energy

o Bring energy and enthusiasm to industry-specific trade shows and events, embodying Protiv's commitment to workers. These events are a lot of work, with long hours, requiring a positive attitude even when tired.

o Network with potential clients and industry professionals, leaving a lasting impression that extends the reach of Protiv. This includes pre-show outreach, engaging with folks in person and follow up after the event.

 

Qualifications:


·  Proven B2B outbound sales and/or appointment setting experience. Preference if you have experience calling into small/medium businesses in the construction, cleaning or landscaping industry (2 years preferred)

·  Infectious passion and energy for sales, evident in communication and interpersonal skills. A natural smile and positive disposition are central to success.

·  Ability to work independently, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

·  Ability to travel to industry trade shows and events 3-5x per year. A typical event will last 3-4 days and include setting up, working the event, meeting with prospective customers and tearing down the booth.

·  Familiarity with CRM tools and sales software, including dialing technology.

·  Problem Solving: Exhibit a proactive and analytical approach to identifying and solving challenges. Protiv is a new platform and still growing, so sometimes things do not work as well as we would like, nor do we always have the money to do everything that needs to be done. We need creativity to solve problems and win.

Benefits:


·  Starting base salary between $50,000 and $55,000, with On-Target Earnings of $85,000
