Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Analog/RFIC design experts to develop cellular-band RFICs featuring LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controllers, and various RF/analog functional blocks.
  • Work with system engineers and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and resolve performance and circuit design issues.


Job Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design
  • Understanding of basic device physics
  • Proficiency in developing and using advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques, and translating between models, simulations, physical implementations, and measured performance
  • Ability to optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge
  • Experience with simulation tools, and analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills
  • In-depth knowledge of RF/microwave fundamentals, including impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability, and electromagnetic theory
  • Experience in micro-strip/strip line stack-up, laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design, or passive circuit design (e.g., integrated passive devices, couplers, and baluns)
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation using tools like Agilent ADS, 2.5/3D EM tools (Momentum, EMX, Sonnet), HFSS/CST, and Cadence
  • Strong lab skills for data collection/analysis, lab debugging/tuning, and product troubleshooting
  • Self-starter and team player with a strong desire to learn on the job
  • Commitment to taking products from concept to volume production


Qualifications:

  • MSEE with 3 years of experience, or BSEE with 5 years of experience
