Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled MIS/Data Analyst & Education Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and managing a comprehensive device management system primarily for Mac operating systems, catering to staff use, learning initiatives, and survey implementations. Additionally, you will play a vital role in data analysis tasks and provide basic programming education to students, equity initiatives and community empowerment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage a robust device management system primarily for Mac operating systems, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements for staff use, learning programs, and survey deployments, and tailor the systems accordingly.
3. Configure and maintain device profiles, software installations, updates, and security settings to meet organizational needs and compliance standards.
4. Provide technical support and training to staff members on utilizing hardware and software effectively.
5. Conduct data analysis tasks, including but not limited to data cleaning, transformation, and visualization, to derive actionable insights.
6. Assist in developing and maintaining data collection tools and dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators.
7. Deliver basic programming education sessions to K-12th grade students, focusing on fundamental concepts and practical application.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in device management systems, data analysis techniques, and programming languages relevant to education environments.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Preferred minimum 3 years of experience in setting up and managing device management systems, with a strong focus on Mac operating systems.
3. Proficiency in macOS and iOS device management tools such as Jamf Pro, Apple Configurator, or similar platforms.
4. Solid understanding of data analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) with experience in data visualization techniques.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
7. Experience in delivering educational sessions or training programs is advantageous.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
