Senior Buyer

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Buyer to join their team within the Defense and Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, ideally from a defense and aerospace background, and will be responsible for managing all procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all procurement-related activities, ensuring all purchasing actions align with relevant company policies.
• Develop and implement strategic purchasing strategies and procedures in correlation with the latest industry trends.
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms while maintaining the company's quality standards.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate supplier capabilities with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate, manage and build strong relationships with defense and aerospace suppliers.
• Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
• Analyze procurement data, anticipate future needs, and provide recommendations to increase cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or supply chain management experience, preferably within the Defense and Aerospace industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures within the defense and aerospace industry is essential.
• Excellent organization skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Purchasing Management software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
