Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Regulatory Control Analyst for our client, a globally recognized leader in the energy industry. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced professional to leverage their expertise in the ERCOT power market and guide the organization on complex regulatory matters. As a Regulatory Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Regulatory Advisor, develop compliance controls, and ensure adherence to ERCOT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and implement compliance controls for ERCOT regulations.
- Monitor and interpret ERCOT rules and protocols, staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Provide guidance to internal departments on regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and contribute to regulatory rulemaking proceedings.
- Develop and deliver training on ERCOT compliance.
- Collaborate with various teams across the trading organization to ensure alignment on regulatory strategies.
- Offer strategic insights on market compliance and help resolve complex regulatory issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a similar quantitative field; Advanced degree (MBA/JD/PE) is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Energy Trading Firm, with at least 2 years in ERCOT market compliance or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of ERCOT market operations, including DAM, CRRs, resource adequacy, ancillary services, and BESS resources.
- Strong understanding of energy trading markets and products, with experience in operations, risk management, and trading practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve complex regulatory issues.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
