 Area Visual Manager| Job Summary

The Area Visual Manager (AVM) will collaborate with agency owners to enhance the in-store experience through operational excellence and effective visual merchandising strategies. This role oversees a geographical group of agencies, ensuring consistent execution of visual and merchandising standards. The AVM will proactively identify and address merchandising challenges, maintain detailed documentation, and tailor product presentations to each agency, optimizing the shopping experience and contributing to overall business objectives.



Responsibilities

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate trust and strong working relationships with agency owners and associates through in-person visits and a hands-on approach.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor as a source of reliable information and support.
  • Partner with agency owners and managers to identify operational challenges and propose actionable solutions.
  • Represent the group’s strategic vision with integrity and professionalism, fostering collaboration.

Communication and Reporting

  • Act as a consistent point of contact for agencies, maintaining accurate documentation of interactions and outcomes.
  • Clarify communications about products, processes, and priorities for agency associates.
  • Collect and analyze insights during visits, preparing detailed reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide training and share product knowledge to build associates’ confidence in sales.

Visual Merchandising and Operations

  • Document complete agency layouts, including floor plans, backroom spaces, and square footage, to streamline operational planning.
  • Manage product allocation, including preparing and executing store-to-store transfers to ensure optimal inventory placement.
  • Oversee backroom organization and merchandise flow, ensuring all new product is appropriately displayed and highlighted per company standards.
  • Create, implement, and maintain visual displays aligned with seasonal calendars and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with agency owners and retail strategy directors to ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards and brand guidelines.

Marketing and Branding

  • Support the execution of in-store marketing programs, ensuring all signage is accurate and appropriately placed.
  • Maintain and enhance brand visibility through proper use and positioning of branding elements.
  • Provide recommendations for additional branding opportunities tailored to agency needs.

Operational Fundamentals

  • Travel regularly between stores within the assigned area, ensuring consistent execution of operational and visual standards.
  • Maintain precise and organized reporting on agency visits, product flow, and visual merchandising efforts.



Key Skills

  • Strong background in visual merchandising and retail operations.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong reporting and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with current trends in food/beverage, home, and fashion.
  • Ability to analyze sales goals and connect them to merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
