Litigation Associate

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join our legal team. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of litigation cases, including legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for law and a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.


Responsibilities:


- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis

- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs

- Assist with case management, including organizing documents and maintaining case files

- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials

- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies

- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process

- Negotiate settlements when appropriate

- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations


Qualifications:


- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to the state bar association

- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents

- Proficiency in legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

- Prior experience in litigation preferred but not required
