Finance Manager

We are partnering with a reputable manufacturing organization in Southern California. Their ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. Hybrid in Los Angeles - 3 days/week
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Lead the development of financial analysis to drive cost savings and growth opportunities to support the company’s strategy toward growth and profitability.
- Financial Modeling: Lead the development of new financial models and adoption of advanced tools like PowerBI and other power platform tools to forecast, track, and measure business outcomes, opportunities, and KPI’s and create predictive models to support business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual processes for budgeting and rolling forecasts of financials including but not limited to G/L financials, sales & profit, working capital, and free cash flows.
- Scalability: Develop KPIs to measure the performance of the profit, expense ROI’s, working capital investments, and free cash flow to drive accountability in the areas of product costs, service levels, and expense controls. Help identify opportunities for great efficiencies in current processes to allow for future scalability of the business.
- SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning): Serve as the finance leader in the company’s SIOP process. Provide analysis to the Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales teams to help maximize inventory turns. Will also serve as the functional leader in managing the company’s inventory cost accounting processes.
- Other responsibilities as required including:
- Heavy M&A Analysis
- Utilizing PowerBI
- Leading financial analysis / driving cost-saving opportunities
- Continue to modernize the reporting deck
- Build out KPIs
- Cash Flow analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or other related discipline required.
- Master’s degree in business is a plus.
- Minimum of 6+ years experience in the areas of finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience as a manager or supervisor preferred.
- Proven track record for driving cost savings, service levels, and quality from product vendors.
- Experience working with a product-based company is required. Cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills required with experience in MS Platform tools (PowerBI, PowerPivots, PowerQuery) a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis required.
