Job Description
The Lead Controls Engineer will establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. They will also provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 5 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
• Master’s degree
• At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
• At least 7 years of product manufacturing experience
Desired Skills:
• Must be able to work independently with little guidance
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience, with a full understanding of area of specialization
• Fully proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Siemens PLC controls experience is ideal
• Cognos, Keyence experience
• Combination of automation, IT, Fanix robots is a plus
Duties include:
• Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
• Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
• Studies equipment performance and reliability
• Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
• Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
• Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules
Training Schedule:
• 2-4 weeks on first shift and then move to second shift
Additional Requirements
• PPE: Safety Shoes/Safety Glasses required
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift 7pm-6am
