Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case management, document preparation, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Prepare and organize documents for court filings, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Manage and review large volumes of documents, including e-discovery.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly organized and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials as needed.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including creating trial binders, exhibit lists, and coordinating logistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the litigation team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process and court procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, Relativity).
