We’re looking to hire a Learning and Development Designer for a global technology company. The Integrated Media Strategist role is an interdisciplinary position that combines design, media production, storytelling, and project management. The primary focus will be revamping and scaling the internal organizational website, ensuring consistent visual identity and web design across the digital platform, and incorporating graphic elements into webpages.
This is a project opportunity through September 2025. The role is in Cupertino, CA, and is hybrid.
Learning and Development Designer Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to understand functional and content requirements developing creative ideas that align with organizational goals.
- Designing visual elements that reflect the customer’s brand managing the content creation process, including crafting, editing, proofreading, and securing approvals.
- Communicating design concepts effectively using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Leading projects with clear timelines and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Creating website layouts and user interfaces using standard web technologies (HTML/CSS/PHP/JAVA), including mock-ups for review and user testing.
- Applying design thinking and instructional methodologies to both new and existing content.
- Conducting regular website audits to ensure content relevance and collaborating with IT teams and external vendors to address technical issues, security updates, and upgrades.
- Assisting with drafting content for internal communications, including newsletters, videos, and presentations, and measuring messaging effectiveness for strategy adjustments.
- Ensuring website accessibility compliance with ADA standards and implementing necessary improvements.
Learning and Development Designer Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in web development and design.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong pre-visualization skills (e.g., wireframes, motion theory) and experience in digital mediums such as web and video.
- Ability to manage various tasks at different levels, from tactical to strategic.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passionate about enhancing corporate culture, productivity, and community engagement.
- Strong leadership skills, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
- Curiosity and passion for storytelling as a tool to create experiences.
- Graphic design expertise, particularly in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), with experience in video scripting, shooting, and editing.
- Comfortable working with content management systems and websites; familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
- Candidates must submit a portfolio or a link to their portfolio with their resume.
