Sr. Data Insights Analyst

Excellent opportunity supporting a Manager of Quantitative Research with an industry leader You will join a team working on multiple initiatives, including strategy, insights, and recommendations for digital advertising banner pricing for a major eCommerce site. You will focus on analyzing the output of the data to help predict trends and make recommendations for more or less ad bookings. You will also lead and mentor other Analysts and support the manager by delegating tasks, when needed.


This is a 12 month contract (potential to extend/convert).


This is a hybrid opportunity in the Vinings ; you must work 1 day/week in the office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate data and results into insights, actions, and recommendations
  • Data analytics for large volumes of data
  • Import, cleanse, and organize data via Python scripts
  • Act as a liaison/partner with an offshore team
  • Apply filters from existing dashboards to tell a story with data (not building the dashboards)
  • Collaborate with team members (Engg., UX, & Product Mgmt.) to create solutions
  • Once forecasting models are completed by technical resources, you will analyze and visualize the output to make sense of it for the business


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years as an Analyst or Senior Analyst
  • Experience leading & mentoring other Analysts, including delegation of tasks
  • Experience collecting, organizing, & analyzing data to gain new understanding and generate insights
  • Experience telling a story with data and communicating complex ideas to both technical & non-technical end users
  • Proven experience finding data correlations/trends to drive recommendations
  • Experience in any of the following industries: retail, ecommerce, digital analytics, or financial
  • Basic Python scripting experience (for data cleansing/imports)
  • Solid SQL skills - experience writing SQL queries from scratch and manipulating complex queries & stored procedures
  • Basic data visualization experience in Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience with JIRA or similar tracking tool
