Job Summary:

Job Title: BIM/Revit Designer

Location: Northern California (Remote/Hybrid)

Commutable to: San Francisco, San Jose, San Ramon, or Sacramento, CA


We are seeking a skilled BIM/Revit Designer to join our Northern California practice. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring the ability to commute to one of our Northern California office locations as needed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting or leading Revit projects, supporting digital delivery on cutting-edge transportation projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support BIM/Revit projects, including all aspects of modeling, clash detection, and compliance
  • Create and maintain accurate, detailed 3D Revit models.
  • Work effectively in an Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment on multidisciplinary Revit models.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project meetings and support digital delivery initiatives.
  • Review and interpret electrical markups provided by engineers.
  • Model lighting, fire alarm systems, electrical equipment, conduits, trays, and develop custom Revit families.
  • Update and refine 3D Revit models based on written or verbal instructions from engineers.
  • Provide daily updates on model progress and publish updates weekly.
  • Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure deliverables meet client requirements and project standards.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM model development throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company-specific BIM protocols.
  • Implement best practices for Revit modeling to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineers and drafters to integrate design changes into BIM models.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless BIM integration in workflows.
  • Output engineering drawings and apply project title block information
  • Work at the client’s premises or 3Vi's offices, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling Management, or a similar program.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Experience with ElumTools is a plus.
  • 5–10 years of BIM 360/Revit experience on multidisciplinary projects.
