Junior Landscape Architects


Rock Design Associates is looking to hire two or three Junior Designer / Junior Landscape Architects immediately. Current advertised positions are fully remote with the possibility of transitioning to hybrid positions in the future. The ideal Junior Designer / Junior Landscape Architect candidates will have between 3 and 5 years of professional experience and will possess strong communication skills - both verbal and written - as well as critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates are expected to have strong technical skills including a high level of proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Experience in Microstation, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and other 3D modeling skills are preferred. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of conceptual graphics and presentation materials.
  • Preparation of documentation from schematic design to construction documentation.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal team members and subconsultants on high-profile project work.
  • Working knowledge of project specifications and similar work products.
  • Participation in construction observation activities including the review of submittals, RFI's, Change Orders, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • BLA required, MLA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape architecture, architecture, or planning practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a design project through construction documentation.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with internal team members and with external consultants / collaborators.

 

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
