We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multi-Line Field Adjuster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling multi-line claims in an efficient and timely manner while providing excellent customer service to policyholders.
Responsibilities of the Multi-Line Field Adjuster
- Conduct thorough field investigations by visiting claim sites to assess damage and determine the cause of loss.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather necessary information for claim evaluation.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports documenting findings and recommendations for claim settlements.
- Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine appropriate settlements.
- Negotiate and settle claims with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with policyholders and keeping them informed throughout the claim process.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications of the Multi-Line Field Adjuster
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a multi-line adjuster or in a similar role.
- Valid adjuster’s license in the state of New York
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant technology.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various claim sites as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and lifting heavy objects when necessary.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including adverse weather.
