Cordia Resources client is seeking an HR Manager to join their team This a brand-new role in the organization and they are looking to bring someone on with a true generalist background that can build out the HR function and eventually a team. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of HR experience ideally as a team of 1 or on a small team. This role will involve all aspects of HR from recruiting, employee relations, hiring, onboarding, performance management, compliance, compensation and employee data. This position will be work on a hybrid schedule out of Dumfries, VA.


Schedule: Hybrid, Dumfries, VA 2-3 days in office (Only open to local candidates at this time)

Salary: 95-110k+ depending on experience


Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the recruitment and hiring process, from crafting job descriptions to selecting top-tier candidates.
  • Streamline onboarding procedures to equip new hires with essential tools and knowledge for success.
  • Design and execute comprehensive employee relations strategies, covering performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and standards.
  • Address and resolve employee grievances with effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, such as health coverage, retirement plans, and vacation policies.
  • Remain abreast of HR trends and adapt best practices to benefit the organization.
  • Collaborate with management across various departments to implement cohesive HR initiatives.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records of employee data.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 8-10 years of proven experience in HR management or a generalist role.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR procedures.
  • Comprehensive experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to operate both independently and as a partof a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications in SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) preferred.
