We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team and play a key role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and acquiring new clients. You will develop a deep understanding of Vaya’s professional service offerings, sales process, targeted markets, key contacts, and marketing strategy, then collaborate with our Sales and Marketing teams to generate leads, establish connections, and promote our suite of solutions to new customers. The primary focus will be on initiating client relationships based on their potential needs for our services and securing introductory/discovery calls for Vaya’s Relationship Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, then generate leads utilizing various tools and channels, e.g., marketing campaigns, social media, and cold-calling.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and prioritize them for further engagement.
  • Initiate conversations with key prospects to explore their needs, challenges, and pain points through insightful questioning, establishing Vaya and yourself as trusted advisors.
  • Clearly articulate the value and impact of our services aligned with the prospect’s initial needs and/or challenges.
  • Conclude interactions by transitioning interested prospects to Vaya’s Relationship Manager for further discovery.
  • Employ a strategic follow-up approach using CRM tools, direct outreach, and targeted marketing initiatives to maintain prospect engagement, tailoring messaging to the challenges encountered in the prospect’s role.
  • Track and report on KPIs and prospecting activities weekly.
  • Partner with relationship managers, leaders, and marketing team to achieve quarterly prospecting targets by managing and updating prospect information in the CRM.
  • Support relationship managers by preparing client discussion documents, proposals, and statements of work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in professional services.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and HubSpot to track and deliver prospecting activities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding prospecting targets.
  • Strong written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A curiosity mindset and coachable personality.
  • Ability to understand and articulate Vaya’s value proposition.
