Sustainability/Compliance Assistant

Success Profile:

The Sustainability Assistant will be responsible for GHG emissions data tracking and reduction targets projects. This role will have a strong focus on sustainability, collecting, tracking and reducing G-III’s environmental impact. The role will require someone with a keen interest in analytics specifically tailored to the fashion industry including ongoing research and knowledge of different sustainable practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with working groups on implementing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)/Sustainability strategy
  • Monitor and analyze sustainability performance metrics
  • Assist team with developing updates to the ESG strategy
  • Stay up to date on new developments in sustainability and best practices
  • Track and report on sustainability initiatives and progress
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Manage invoicing and payment tracking for all factory audit activities, along with related metrics
  • Partner with teams to track and maintain sustainability certificates
  • Special projects as assigned



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sustainability-related field, preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills: data manipulation, pivot tables, v-lookup
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Exceeds in project and time management
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills
  • Preferably worked in cross-functional organization structure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passionate about sustainability

The pay range for this position is: $24.04 per hour/$50k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)- $28.85per hour/ $60k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40-hour work week).
