We are seeking an Employee Resources Benefits Specialist to support the daily operations of the Employee Resources department, with a focus on benefits and leave management. Your responsibilities will include managing leave of absence administration, reconciling billing statements, and onboarding new employees, all while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage leave of absence requests and paperwork, including Disability, FMLA, PFL
  • Knowledge and experience with Worker's Compensation and OSHA Compliance
  • Assist employees with enrolling in dental, vision, medical, and life insurance plans.
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientations, educating employees on their benefits package and how to utilize it.
  • Oversee the COBRA process, including paperwork, enrollments, and payments.
  • Assist employees with questions and concerns with benefit coverages.
  • Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere during employee resource interactions.
  • Knowledge of ACA process and compliance.
  • Keep employee files updated with all required documentation.
  • Reconcile billing statements.
  • Perform other assigned duties.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; an Associate Degree is the minimum requirement.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a role relating to benefits and leave management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with cross-functional team members, associates, and leadership.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • A friendly attitude for cooperative work with all employees and departments.
  • Flexibility to transition between tasks as needed.


The base pay range for this position is: $22.00 - $24.00

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Derrick range for this position in the given work location. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors including internal equity, location, education, certifications, and experience. The range(s) listed is just one component of Derrick's total employee compensation package. Other rewards may include profit sharing, paid time off, a 401K plan, and many region-specific benefits.
