Senior Quality Assurance & Testing Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance & Testing Advisor to provide strategic counsel and guidance to top management on critical QA matters. This role will involve collaborating across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful development and implementation of computer systems applications within diverse computing environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, functional testing, and have expertise in Pega-based applications and Java frameworks to drive excellence in software quality across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation to project teams and client areas on QA best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and IT strategy.
  • Draft, revise, and approve comprehensive test plans and scripts, meticulously verifying system logic and flow.
  • Generate test data files with both valid and invalid records to conduct thorough testing of program functionality.
  • Collaborate with users to plan and execute user acceptance testing, alpha, and beta testing phases, ensuring successful completion and documentation of system tests.
  • Analyze and design new or modified QA procedures and standards, contributing to the development and implementation of QA metrics to assess software quality.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new QA software, offering insights and recommendations to enhance the testing process.
  • Work closely with client and IT stakeholders to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology across projects.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines within the QA domain.
  • Serve as the go-to person for the most complex QA and testing assignments, earning recognition as a subject matter expert internally.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior QA or testing role, with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation frameworks, functional testing methodologies, Pega-based applications, and Java frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in hybrid roles with a willingness to report onsite 2-3 days per week.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
