Position Summary

The Secondary Marketing Product Manager is the liaison between the Originators and Secondary Marketing. This person needs complete knowledge of mortgage products and pricing, underwriting guidelines, and how loans are sold into the secondary market. Has a full knowledge of Bond and down-payment assistance programs and how to implement and maintain such programs for the department. Able to do research, set up and implement products. The Secondary Marketing Product Manager will also assist the Secondary Marketing team with lock and pricing questions and other Investor related functions.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Work effectively in the loan origination system (LOS) and have LOS set-up experience.

• Must research mortgage products, analyze the credit risk associated with those guidelines, and recommend positive changes to guidelines that will generate incremental and credit quality volume.

• Must be able to set-up the new products or changes to product guidelines in the LOS system.

• Must have the intellectual capacity to create and send all new mortgage products guidelines and changes to product guidelines.

• Consistently stay current with all Investor product changes and quickly evaluate positive changes and implement those changes.

• Is the subject matter expert on all product guidelines and will provide answers, guidance and training to our Sales and Operations teams on those products.

• Must have the Investor product guideline knowledge to act as the product scenario contact for our Sales team.

• Must have clear understanding of mortgage pricing and assist the lock desk with pricing questions and lock maintenance requests.

• Must understand and/or investigate Investor shipping and delivery requirements and guidelines.

• Monitor and analyze the impact of new products to include volume and revenue outcomes.

• Must have the ability to research, analyze, set-up, and rollout Mortgage Bond, Down-payment Assistance, and Mortgage Credit Certificate programs.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• High School Diploma required

• Minimum five (5) years residential mortgage banking experience, with at least three (3) years of secondary markets and products or

• Minimum ten (10) plus years' experience in residential mortgage banking with five (5) plus years’ experience specifically in Secondary Marketing functions.

• Must have ability to write and create product guidelines and bulletins professionally. Evidence of writing capacity may be required.

• Must fully understand mortgage pricing.

• Mortgage Loan origination system and setup experience required.

• Must have a complete understanding of the secondary marketing process from lock to Investor purchase.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.


Schedule: Monday to Friday


Work Location: Hybrid, Corporate office is in Houston, TX
