Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL. The Assistant Professor or Associate Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducting research or scholarship through clinical practice, publishing scholarly articles, and participating in departmental and university service activities. Additionally, the Assistant or Associate Professor will mentor and advise students, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to the academic community.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. relevant field with Master of Science in Nursing, DNP, or MSN with extensive clinical practice and pursuit of doctoral degree
- Advanced Nursing Practice certification and licensure as Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner, or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Research expertise or clinical practice in the specific area of specialization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
- Demonstrated track record of scholarly publications and/or experience in grant writing and securing research funding preferred
