The ideal candidate will be innovative, challenge conventional methods, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills while leading small teams and managing individual assignments.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the project management of mechanical subsystems for flight and ground support equipment.
  • Lead project delivery, including prioritization of components, scheduling, milestone setting, and ensuring critical path deliveries.
  • Develop a clear sequence for releasing component details to optimize procurement (raw materials, 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings).
  • Monitor and report project metrics regularly.
  • Negotiate time, scope, and resource allocation with managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership regarding scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of all project documentation, including reviews and approvals.


Deliverables:


  • Project schedule for mechanical subsystems and ground support equipment.
  • Assignment of hours and resources in collaboration with the department head.
  • Tracking project completion percentages.
  • Maintain a drawing release plan.
  • Weekly status reports and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Material delivery tracking for BOM completion.
  • Project metrics for scheduling, resources, and procurement status.


Qualifications:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in space-related projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
