Job Summary

Join our client, a leading agile Managed Service Provider (MSP), as a Systems Engineer. Our client provides remote technology solutions to handle all aspects of their clients' networks, communication, security, proactive technology solutions, and more, leaving their clients free from tech-related concerns. In this dynamic and rapidly growing team, you will design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems for diverse companies. We seek a motivated and experienced professional with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. Your role will be essential in delivering high-quality IT services, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.


Responsibilities

Designing and Implementing IT Solutions:

  • Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate technologies
  • Configure systems to optimize performance and efficiency

Client Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructures including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization
  • Configure and manage client systems according to best practices
  • Monitor performance, security, and reliability, addressing issues proactively

Managing and Monitoring Systems:

  • Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud environments
  • Perform regular maintenance, monitor performance and security, and troubleshoot issues
  • Collaborate with the team, escalate complex issues, and ensure their resolution

Providing Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Respond to client inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems, perform system upgrades, and resolve connectivity issues

Ensuring Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices and configure firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (eg, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Provide exceptional service, strategic guidance, and recommendations

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Configure backup systems, perform regular backups, and test disaster recovery plans

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of client systems
  • Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and relevant metrics

Project Management:

  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
  • Plan and coordinate activities, manage timelines and resources, and communicate updates

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay current on technologies and industry trends
  • Obtain certifications, attend training sessions or conferences, and participate in online forums


Requirements

  • 3-8 years of experience working for a Managed Service Provider
  • Must be well-rounded in various technical areas with the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges in the constantly evolving field of IT
  • Must have a proven track record in IT engineering and possess strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficiency and skill in the following areas is required: Organization, Multitasking, Attention to Detail, Analytical, Strategic and Critical Thinking, Networking, Server Administration, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Storage Systems, Security, Monitoring and Performance Tuning, Scripting and Automation, Troubleshooting, Documentation, Project Management, and Communication
