Position: Remote Bridge Structural Engineer

Location: Remote (must reside in Wisconsin or Illinois)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Bridge Structural Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge design and analysis, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for a variety of bridge projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging assignments while enjoying the flexibility of remote work and the support of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of bridge projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and inspection projects.
  • Conduct structural assessments, load rating analyses, and feasibility studies to evaluate bridge condition and performance.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and construction documents in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize structural analysis software such as SAP2000, MIDAS, or similar tools to model and analyze bridge structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or Illinois.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license in Illinois.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in bridge design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, MIDAS, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with virtual teams.
