Job Description

AECOM
is looking for a

Movable Bridge Engineer (with Railway Bridge design expertise)

to enhance the capabilities of AECOM's regional bridge team being based in AECOM's

Milwaukee, WI office.

Job Duties may include but are not limited to:

Provide technical leadership and lead the movable bridge projects.

Serve as a technical resource to the project team and mentor young engineers.

Perform existing bridge inspection, and condition assessment, and develop rehabilitation strategies.

Ability to develop technical reports, documents, client communication and technical memoranda.

Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates.

Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Ability to pass MVR Check

Preferred

Qualifications:

Master's degree a plus 6+ years of experience designing and detailing bridge structures with an emphasis on movable structures.


SE license in the state of IL or Wisconsin or w/ ability to obtain the same in the next 2 years.

Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.

Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.

Project management skills, including proposal preparation.
