We seek a highly motivated and experienced Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our business goals and technical implementation, driving the development of innovative solutions that meet customer needs and align with our technical capabilities.


About this Role  

As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining and prioritizing the features and enhancements that will drive the success of our products. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into actionable technical requirements, and ensure that our development teams clearly understand the desired outcomes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to drive innovation and identify optimization opportunities, helping shape the future of our products and make a meaningful impact on our customers' lives.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and market trends, translating them into actionable technical requirements and user stories.

·  Work closely with development teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and technical feasibility.

· Define and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is groomed, prioritized, and aligned with the product roadmap.

· Provide guidance and direction to development teams throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.

· Act as the primary point of contact for technical questions and clarifications, facilitating communication between cross-functional teams.

· Conduct regular sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

·Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.

· Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies and practices, promoting a culture of agility, transparency, and accountability within the organization. 


Basic Qualifications:  

·  Proven experience as a technical product owner or similar role in Agile software development environments.

· Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development principles, processes, and technologies.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering value to customers.

· Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Proactive mindset with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.

·  Experience with Product Management Tools such as Jira and Confluence. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.

· Experience in the Cybersecurity domain is a plus

· User Experience design and documentation is a plus.

Success Criteria 

The success criteria for this role include working cross-functionally to gather requirements and break them down into actionable user stories that the engineering team can execute and deliver. Clear communication of expected risks, complexities, and timelines contributes to overall success in this role.

o   This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 


Work Environment  

o   This job operates in an office setting or may be remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, if applicable.

o   Lift 10-15 pounds


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work  

o   This is a full-time position located in Portland, OR. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. or as scheduled with the employee’s supervisor.

o   No            


Work Authorization/Security Clearance  

o   US citizenship or permanent residency is evidenced via the current I9 process.

o   Visa Sponsorship is not available.
