We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer with expertise in Security Compliance for a hybrid contract role. The position involves coordination with internal Security Services personnel and government stakeholders to establish physical security requirements, develop construction security plans, and prepare relevant accreditation paperwork.

Title: Hybrid Construction Engineer - Security Compliance (SCIFs/SAPFs)
Location: Lexington, MA
Duration: Long-term, 3 years+
Type: W2 Contract (Health and 401k Benefits)
Monday-Friday, 8-5 ET.
Hybrid, 4 days onsite required
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction and renovation processes for SCIFs and SAPFs, ensuring compliance with federal security regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Security Services personnel and government stakeholders to develop physical security specifications and construction security plans.
- Create, review, and update accreditation paperwork related to design and construction for assigned projects.
- Provide technical guidance on the design and implementation of physical security features, such as intrusion detection systems, access control, and secure entryways.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure that physical security measures align with project specifications and national standards.
- Lead and manage security compliance efforts throughout all phases of construction projects, from design through final accreditation.
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant security regulations, including Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and DoD requirements for SCIFs and SAPFs.
- Ensure that construction projects adhere to required security protocols while meeting project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the security compliance for construction and renovation of SCIFs/SAPFs.
- Strong understanding of government security regulations, including ICD 705, DoD standards, and accreditation processes.
- Experience developing physical security specifications, construction security plans, and accreditation documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with government and security stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in security or construction management are a plus.
- Familiarity with secure construction techniques and classified information handling.
