This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial, and collaborative team. The role is located at BLG’s Bozeman office, with a partial hybrid opportunity, and reports directly to its Principal, Grant Syth.


Your Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in Project Management: Support the day-to-day management of development projects, including the oversight of project consultant teams, contractors, and other team members.
  • Special Projects: Support the BLG executive team and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Budget and Schedule Tracking: Help prepare and track development budgets related to assigned projects. Create project schedules and maintain project timelines to ensure milestones are met.
  • Coordination and Communication: Participate in weekly development meetings for upcoming projects and manage communication between development, consultant, and construction teams. Assist in regular OAC meetings and manage communication between contractors, consultants, and ownership.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project team members to accomplish project goals. Participate in investment, development and capital raising discussions. Provide exemplary communications with internal team members and external partners during all phases from initial concept and approvals to project completion.
  • Permitting and Approvals: Assist BLG’s executive team in managing local permitting and securing appropriate approvals and permits from municipal agencies. Engage in community and resident outreach initiatives to tailor property improvements and services to meet neighborhood and resident needs.
  • Contract Management: Attend meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants as needed to document and review job requirements, compliance, timelines, and interface with key personnel. Assist in drafting of contract terms and scope with design consultants and contractors.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Organize and maintain change order logs and related project documentation. Assist in reviewing legal documentation and contracts for all aspects of development.
  • Quality Control: Manage consistent Quality Control policies and procedures to ensure quality construction standards and quality of workmanship for BLG brand quality and standard compliance.
  • Transition Coordination: Coordinate construction activities with the sales, marketing, and property management teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operations. Resolve and/or escalate issues to the appropriate party in a timely fashion.


Must Haves

  • The successful candidate should possess a general knowledge of construction and/or project management workflows and an effective understanding of budgets and scheduling.
  • 3+ years of construction and/or project management.
  • Be self-motivated and perform both independently and within a team in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and move quickly to support rapid decision-making.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • General knowledge of project management software (i.e. Procore) and scheduling software (i.e. Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with significant responsibilities and competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail, along with a strong desire to grow and succeed are critical.
  • Ability to interact with other individuals at all levels of management.
  • Recognize and timely escalate appropriate issues, tasks, responsibilities, and requests.
  • Experience with Yardi preferred, but not required.
