SUMMARY

The Senior Quality Manager ensures that all company products meet customer expectations and are compliant with relevant certifications and standards. Maintains a high performing quality management system for the business unit. Leads the quality team and serves as the voice of customer satisfaction, ensuring that overall quality goals are met and that internal metrics for monthly, quarterly and annual performance are achieved or exceeded. Partners with Manufacturing and Engineering leadership to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) while driving continuous improvement of processes to ensure quality while achieving financial goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the lead in maintaining ISO9001 and AS9100D certification for the business unit, including coordination of successful surveillance and recertification audits with third party registrars. This includes scheduling and leading internal audits to assess compliance and driving corrective measures as required.
  • Reviews and validates quality-related requirements associated with customer Purchase Orders and contracts, including alignment of Q-Note flow downs to iNRCORE sales order documentation and inspection criteria.
  • Data-mines MIL-Spec or applicable industry standards and publications when required to ensure proper testing and/or inspection methodologies are used to ensure product compliance.
  • Approves Engineering Change Notices (ECN) for released products to ensure compliance with related quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Accountable for Incoming, In-Process, and Finished Goods inspection personnel, criteria, standards and processes.
  • Develops and maintains standards for Supplier quality, including supplier performance scorecards, Certificates of Compliance, and acceptable supplier performance metrics.
  • Leads Material Review Board (MRB) activities, ensuring timely decisions and disposition of materials both from suppliers and manufactured by iNRCORE.
  • Prepares or oversees preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) as well as other qualification and test data submissions and approvals as required by customers.
  • Performs root cause analysis of customer or internally identified failures, using analysis techniques including but not limited to, 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.Identifies sustainable solutions for prevention of repetitive quality issues.
  • Serves as a coach and motivator to subordinate staff, setting goals while creating a culture of winning and celebrating achievements.
  • Serves as a partner and collaborator to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales, regularly engaging positively across functions to achieve common goals and objectives to move the company forward and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager stays connected to and aligned with the vision and needs of the organization. Great team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong familiarity with AS9100D including ISO9100:2015. Experience with DoD end customers, FAR clauses, and DCMA inspection and approval processes a plus.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: A BS degree in a technical or related field, or with equivalent quality management experience required. ASQ certification or Six Sigma certification is a plus.


EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 10 years of on-the-job experience in the field of quality with a minimum of five years of this experience must be in a decision-making position, with authority to define, execute, or control projects/processes and to be responsible for the outcome. Experience in a supervisory role serving as a coach and a collaborator with other functional leaders is strongly preferred.
